The Third Friday & Saturday Of The Month

Join me and work with fellow artists to build your strengths and gather ideas! These monthly workshops are held at Susan's home studio - all levels of painters are welcome. Due to the overflow of students lately, please contact Susan via email (susanpecora@comcast.net) or by phone (413-283-7441) to register. Please bring a box lunch and lots of enthusiasm! Workshops begin at 10am and conclude at 3pm with a group critique. Workshops are $55 for one day, $100 for both. Professional teachers can earn 12 PDPs for the two-day session. Please see the "Workshops & Demonstrations" section for more information. Classes will be limited to the first 10 people.

May 23 & 24, 2013 I will be teaching a 2-day Plein-Aire Workshop at Bay Path College in Longmeadow! Go to www.baypath.edu for more information. Hope to see you there!

November 2008 - An Ornament for the White House

Every year, members of Congress invite artists within their district to create an ornament for one of the Christmas trees in the White House. This year, Susan was asked by the office of Congressman Richard E. Neal to create an ornament to represent the Massachusetts Second District. For the occasion, Susan created a multi-denominational winter scene portraying historic Mattoon Street in Springfield. She also attended the Artists' Reception in early December.

Reflections Through Watercolor on PBS

Susan's popular television show, Reflections Through Watercolor, continues to be broadcast on WGBY-TV, the PBS affiliate to western New England (check your local listings). Part painting demonstration and part travelogue, Susan travels to numerous New England points of interest and produces a finished painting. The show is inspiring to both painters and non-painters alike.

In its several seasons, she has painted such diverse subjects as Heublein Tower in Connecticut, Emily Dickinson's home in Amherst, Calvin Coolidge's birthplace in Plymouth Notch, VT, the historic Hancock Shaker Village, and even the beloved Fenway Park.
